where you are.

We'll use the tools best suited for you, whether that's peer support coaching, BodyTalk, Emotion Code, or another tool that can help based on your needs. I'm here to listen, guide, educate, and support you. During and after a session, my clients often experience greater insight, deeper relaxation, and less tension.

Using strategies and tools from autistic peer support coaching, BodyTalk, and Emotion Code, we'll work together to identify and release harmful thoughts and belief systems, behaviour patterns, and trapped emotional baggage. Over time, you can learn to understand and advocate for your needs; discover your strengths; and face your challenges with more self-love, grace, and compassion.

Your sessions are one hour long and we'll meet over Zoom. Before we get started, I'll send you a brief intake form to fill out. Please share whatever feels comfortable to you—there's no pressure to include everything. This just helps me understand where you're coming from so we can make the most of our time together.

The most important thing? Just show up as you are. These sessions are all about collaboration. We'll go at your pace and focus on what matters most to you. I'll check in regularly to make sure we're on the right track, and you can always let me know if you'd like to adjust our approach.

Boundaries

Receiving a “Discover Clarity” Session with Cheryl Rettig may include any modality she is certified to practice (Autistic Peer Support Coaching, BodyTalk, Emotion Code) depending on the needs and desires of the client. 

Informed consent and clear communication will always be provided by Cheryl Rettig. If at any point, you state a desire to stop the session or change approaches, Cheryl Rettig will honor your needs and limits.

All aspects of “Discover Clarity” sessions are designed to provide education, support, encouragement, and space to learn about yourself.

These sessions are not therapy, nor are they a substitute for therapy or other medical care. This is not a place to address deep trauma. 

It is always recommended that “Discover Clarity” sessions be utilized with other needed physical, mental, or other medical health care. Under NO circumstances will Cheryl Rettig ever suggest abandoning your health care provider’s orders or medications.

FAQs

  • Sessions are conducted via Zoom so you can relax in the comfort of your own home.

    We’ll start with a brief check-in. If it’s your first session, we’ll discuss your intake form and any current issues you’d like to address during the session. If it is a regular session, you will have a chance to give feedback, bring up additional issues, and celebrate positive changes since your last session.

    Throughout the hour, we’ll use any appropriate tools for you, including peer support coaching, BodyTalk, and Emotion Code. 

  • Clients have reported improved sleep, greater relaxation, and increased energy. Many also experience enhanced creativity and focus, less physical discomfort, and a stronger connection to their bodies and intuition.

    Through our work together, clients often gain insight into harmful belief patterns, find clarity for their next steps, and see improvements in their relationships.

  • Some things people experience after a session include emotional release, temporary low energy, or physical changes, such as a need to use the washroom more urgently or frequently. These are all completely normal!

    Others don't experience any noticeable physical signs, but the work from the session continues to process and integrate internally. Whatever you feel (or don't feel) is right for you.

  • Before the session, you’re encouraged to fill out the intake form, which you’ll receive in your email inbox. This is a great way to get ready for your session. Also, comfort is key. So, wear your most comfortable clothes and even get cozy with a blanket, snacks, and a drink. Whatever makes you feel your best.

  • After the session, listen to your body. You may feel the need to rest, drink water, move your body, or eat something specific. Honour your body’s messages. 

  • That’s completely up to you! A variety of factors will impact how often you schedule a session, including your time, energy, and financial situation.

    I have had clients schedule sessions anywhere from weekly, once or twice a month, or simply on an “as needed” basis. Whatever works for you is what’s best!
